Finally, our logs arrived.

While we waited for our second load of logs to arrive, Darryl started on the flooring. He  put down temporary builder's shutter board over the floor trusses. This makes it much safer and easier to work on.

We also cleared the area under the house, and leveled it out. The guys built a retaining wall between the balcony pillars and then we filled it in with stones which grow on our property like weeds.

Finally, our next load of logs were loaded up on the truck and deposited on our site!

Then building went forward at a vicious speed!
The walls went up......

Four layers..

                                               Five layers!......

Robin suggested cutting an initial small door at the place where the actual door will one day be.... to save them all from clambering over the ever heightening walls.
                                                                  Good idea!

Robin has been on site helping her dad every day! They make a great team!

                                              SIX layers!

                                          Seven layers....

                                         Eight layers.....

                                                    and we've reached roof height!
