The house floor
The house floor starts going down. We're using red gum so the floor has a pinkish tinge to it. A bit more flooring... Just short of half way!!! Three quarters done! The guys average about 9 rows of planks per day except around the pillars where the going is a lot slower because each plank has to be shaped to perfection. (Steven and Timo have done an excellent job.) the tongue and groove of each plank was scraped clean for a better fit The loft We hired an industrial sander which Blessing and I shared - then Darryl and I sanded the areas around the pillars and also the wall edges with an orbital sander. It gets dusty! Darryl covered the gap between the wall and the logs with a shelf using old melamine counter tops from his office.
